MY SUMMER IN PHOTOS

As it's the final week of my summer *sob*, I really wanted to pay homage to an awesome few months through a few  a LOT of photos collaged together in a not so glamorous way on my blog. I for one, LOVE nosing at photos of what people have been up too so I thought I would share with you some of my favourite moment's of the summer! I always kick myself when it gets to this time of the year for my terrible impromptu photography skills. I always tend to get too caught up in the moment, which is very "carpe diem" and all that, but I always regret the lack of photos or just generally rubbish photos I wished I didn't even bother to take, the next day. So I put my hands up guiltily when I admit that most of the above are from trailing through my friends and boyfriends photos as they are the ones I depend on most to 'catch the moment' for me!

DRAPERS WORK EXPERIENCE
At the end of July I was lucky enough to get some work experience with Drapers magazine in London, which I briefly talked about in a previous post. I'm only mentioning it again to persuade any of you who are looking for work experience in the fashion industry or journalism to apply there as it was not only a really great time (and the people there are SUPER nice) but also really beneficial too. I'm currently doing a broadcasting journalism degree at university, but during my first year, realised that I really wanted to go into fashion journalism and felt stuck in my career path because of my course. Drapers allowed me to practise my fashion journalism skills through writing content for not only their only webpage but also to be published in their magazine, so I had work experience with work to show for! Fantastic for the ol' CV.

V FESTIVAL: LOUDER LOUNGE; BESTIVAL; BOARDMASTERS; WALES & CORNWALL
A summer full of festivals and family trips away are the best kinds of summers for me! I think I definitely made the most of this this year as the dreaded years of becoming a real adult and getting a full time job with minimum holiday are quickly catching up. A stand out day for me was getting to experience the oh so fancy side of V Festival Louder Lounge on the sunday with my boyfriend. I mean, I love  endure the grimy, camping side of festivals, but I could definitely get use to camping in a luxury yurt every festival I attend in the future!

These guys are true gents and their music is the BOMB:
